UMI’s reartrailing arms for the fifth generation Camaro utilize our Roto-Joint technologyfor a bind free performance and quiet comfortable ride quality. The Roto-Jointdesign is a pivot ball lined with a greaseable delrin race designed to offer 28degrees of total unrestricted movement, more than adequate for a bind free, lowfriction operation. The Roto-Joint design improves performance over the factoryrubber and aftermarket polyurethane bushings by allowing the suspension toarticulate correctly, and provide precision handling. The installed UMIRoto-Joint allows rear end free movement when high handling, auto cross or roadrace is a concern while still being a 100% streetable setup. The installeddelrin race, which lines the spherical ball, absorbs shock and road noise for aquiet and smooth operation on any street or track driven vehicle. The rear toerods control the camber alignment of the rear end preventing the tire frommoving inward or outward during suspension load. The factory toe rods are madefrom flimsy stamped steel and feature soft rubber bushings causing deflectionwhich leads to erratic handling, poor traction and possible rear tire wear.Replacing the factory arms with heavy duty toe rods makes for a more stablesuspension, improved traction and better braking. Toe rods are a direct bolt inand installation time is less than an hour using basic hand tools.
